Abloy is the global benchmark for high-security mechanical locking. Founded in Helsinki, Finland in 1907, Abloy's disc-detainer cylinder technology is fundamentally different from pin-tumbler locks — and significantly more secure. The rotating disc mechanism is virtually immune to picking, bumping, and manipulation, making Abloy the specification of choice wherever key control and physical security are non-negotiable.

Abloy is part of the ASSA ABLOY Group. In the UK, Abloy cylinders are specified in government buildings, critical infrastructure, healthcare facilities, hotels, and anywhere unauthorised key copying must be prevented.

Key ranges include the Abloy Classic for standard commercial applications, Abloy Protec for high-security restricted key cutting, and the Abloy Protec2 — the current generation with patent protection to 2031. Cylinders are available in Euro profile, UK oval, and other formats, and can be supplied keyed-alike, keyed-differ, or master keyed to suit virtually any access hierarchy.
