Briton 996 — A series of door closers with an integrated electromagnetic hold open mechanism. Typically used on fire rated doors where the hold-open or swing-free feature is required.

• Fixed power size EN3 (9963), EN4 (9964), EN5 (9965)
• Satisfies the requirements of Approved Document M
• Suitable for doors up to 950mm / 1110mm / 1250mm wide depending on variant
• Certified for door, frame and parallel mount applications
• Dual function — hold-open or swing-free selectable at installation
• Adjustable closing speed & latch action
• Designed for 24V DC circuits linked to a fire alarm
• Releases automatically when fire alarm activates or power fails
• Supplied with armset and brackets for regular or transom mounting
