The dormakaba 9800 series is a high-specification range of concealed and surface-mounted panic hardware in satin stainless steel, designed for heavy-duty use in schools, colleges, hospitals, hotels, and public buildings. The 9800 series is the preferred specification where durability, aesthetics, and compliance are all critical — the satin stainless steel construction offers excellent resistance to vandalism, corrosion, and the heavy daily use typical in public-sector environments.

All 9800 series devices are tested and certified to BS EN 1125 and CE marked, making them suitable for any escape route door accessible to the general public. An electronic latch retraction option is available for integration with access control systems.

Electronic Latch Retraction

The ELR variants allow the latch to be retracted remotely via a 12V or 24V signal from an access control panel, intercom, or time-clock — allowing controlled entry from the secure side while the panic exit function remains fully operational at all times from inside.
