The dormakaba TS83 is one of the most versatile and widely specified overhead door closers in the UK commercial market. Decades of development have produced a closer that can be adjusted to suit almost any door type, size, and usage condition — from light internal fire doors through to heavy external doors in exposed or aggressive environments. The TS83 covers door widths up to 1400mm (or 1600mm with the extended power variant), making it suitable for the large majority of commercial door installations.
CERTIFIRE approved (CF117) and third-party tested to BS EN 1154, the TS83 is suitable for fire-rated single-leaf and double-leaf doors. The intelligent backcheck automatically adjusts resistance based on opening speed, providing effective protection against wind-slam damage without over-resisting slow deliberate opening. Delayed action is available for applications where additional time is needed for passage through the doorway.
