Simplex 200 Digital Lock

The Simplex 200 is a mechanical push-button digital lock with a rim deadlatch, designed for timber and metal doors where keyless access control is required without batteries or electronics. The lock body is surface-mounted on the rear of the door — similar to a Yale-style rim latch — making it straightforward to fit without complex door preparation.

Two functions are available: night latch (the latch automatically springs out when the door closes, allowing exit without a code but requiring the code to enter) and deadlock (the bolt must be manually thrown and withdrawn by code from both sides).

Night Latch vs Deadlock — Which Do I Need?

Night latch function — the latch springs out automatically when the door closes. Exit is always possible without a code; entry requires the correct code. The most common configuration for staff entrances and office doors.

Deadlock function — the bolt must be actively thrown by code from inside and withdrawn by code from outside. Provides higher security where the door must be positively locked at all times, not just self-latching.
