Simplex 3000 Narrow Digital Lock

The Simplex 3000 is a narrow-body mechanical push-button digital lock designed for use on commercial aluminium doors with narrow stile profiles. It operates without batteries or electronics — the combination is set mechanically and the lock releases when the correct sequence of buttons is pressed. This makes it ideal for staff entrances, service doors, and any access point where a keypad is required but electrical power or network connection is not available or practical.

The Simplex 3000 is supplied as a modular system — the housing, mortice deadlatch, drive assembly, cylinder, and inside trim are ordered separately to allow the correct configuration for each installation. This means the same housing accommodates different backsets, handedness, and inside trim options without stocking multiple complete units.

What You Need to Order

A complete Simplex 3000 installation requires the following components — select each to suit your door:

1. Housing assembly — the main lock body with keypad
2. Mortice deadlatch — 24.6mm or 28.6mm backset (measure the distance from the door edge to the centre of the existing lock)
3. Drive assembly — must match the latch backset (24.6mm or 28.6mm) and door hand (left or right)
4. Screw-in cylinder — keyed alike or keyed to differ, for emergency override entry from outside
5. Inside trim — thumbturn or paddle handle for egress from the secure side

Determining Door Hand

Standing on the outside of the door (the side with the keypad), note which side the hinges are on. If the hinges are on the left, the door is left-handed. If the hinges are on the right, the door is right-handed.
