The dormakaba BTS 80 is a compact, fixed-power floor spring designed for commercial doors where space within the floor slab is limited. Its smaller body profile makes it particularly suitable for shallow subfloor construction — thin concrete slabs, raised access floors, and installations where the larger BTS 75 V cannot be accommodated. Despite its compact dimensions, the BTS 80 delivers reliable, consistent closing performance across a wide range of door configurations.

Available in EN3, EN4, and EN6 fixed power sizes, the BTS 80 is non-handed and suitable for both single-action and double-action doors. A wide selection of interchangeable spindles makes it compatible with virtually any floor covering or threshold application. CERTIFIRE approved (CF127) and tested to BS EN 1154, making it suitable for fire-rated door assemblies.

BTS 80 vs BTS 75 V — Which Do I Need?

BTS 75 V — variable power (adjustable on site), larger body, suitable for most standard commercial installations. The preferred choice where floor depth allows.

BTS 80 — fixed power sizes, compact body, better suited to shallow subfloor construction or installations with limited floor depth. Choose the BTS 80 where the BTS 75 V cannot physically fit.
