Groom GRL050 Transom Closer - Free Swing

The Groom GRL050 Free Swing is an unsprung transom closer for use on doors where pivot action is required without any closing force — most commonly on the inactive leaf of a double-door set or on doors connected to a low-energy automatic door operator that provides its own closing action. The free swing unit fits the same door preparation as the GRL050 Non Hold Open and Hold Open closers, providing the correct upper pivot point without adding spring resistance.

Selecting the Right Spindle

Standard spindle suits most standard aluminium door profiles. The 5mm extended spindle is available where the door profile requires additional reach. If you are replacing an existing unit, check the existing spindle length before ordering.
