Adams Rite 960 Concealed Panic Bolt

The Adams Rite 960 series is a concealed vertical rod (CVR) panic exit device specifically engineered for narrow-stile aluminium commercial doors. It is the standard life-safety device for single-leaf aluminium entrance doors in commercial buildings, providing two-point locking via a rotating top bolt and post-type header strike while meeting the requirements of BS EN 1125 for panic escape routes accessible to the general public.

The 960 series is a made-to-measure product — each unit is manufactured to suit the specific door width, measured as the clear opening width of the door leaf. Five width ranges cover all standard commercial door sizes from 435mm to 1200mm wide. The concealed rod design keeps the door face clean and uncluttered, with no exposed vertical rods on the door surface.

Selecting the Right Width

Measure the clear opening width of the door leaf and select the variant whose range includes your measurement. If your door width falls at the boundary between two ranges, select the larger range. If you are unsure, contact us with the door dimensions before ordering — the 960 series is made to order and cannot be returned once manufactured.
