Intumescent Pack - 1000 / 5000 Series - FD30 Only

Intumescent pack for Simplex PBL and EPBL push-button latches in the 1000 and 5000 series, for FD30 fire door applications. The intumescent pack is fitted around the latch body during installation to seal the gap between the latch and the door edge in the event of a fire — expanding under heat to prevent the passage of fire and smoke. Required when fitting a Simplex 1000 or 5000 series latch to a FD30 fire-rated door.

This pack is for FD30 only — for FD60 applications see the FD60 intumescent pack.
