Strand Folding Openers

Strand folding window openers for top-hung, open-out windows with sashes manufactured from timber, aluminium, steel, or PVC-U. The over-centre folding mechanism locks securely in the closed position, preventing the window from being pushed open from outside, while allowing the window to be opened and held at a controlled position using the folding arm action.

With a 150mm throw, Strand folding openers are suitable for standard commercial and residential window applications. Two or three openers can be used together on a link bar to operate wider sashes simultaneously from a single point. Available in three fixing configurations — recessed, flush, and stepped — to suit different frame profiles and sill conditions.

Selecting the Right Fixing Type

• Recessed — the opener sits in a rebate in the frame for a neat, low-profile finish
• Flush — surface mounted directly to the frame face
• Stepped — for frames with a lip or step where a flush mount is not possible
