Lorient LP1504DS Twin Fin intumescent strip for FD30 timber fire doors, sold in boxes of 10 x 2100mm lengths. The 15 x 4mm size is used where the door rebate is wider than the standard 10mm, or where the specification requires a larger intumescent element for the same 30 minute fire rating. The DS Twin Fin design combines fire, smoke, and acoustic protection in a single strip.

Which Size Do I Need?

The size must match the routed groove in the door or frame. If replacing an existing strip, measure the width of the existing groove. If installing new, the groove should be routed to match the strip width. The 10 x 4mm is the most common size for standard timber fire doors — use 15 x 4mm where a wider groove is required or specified.
